  • Oriental Azure Aria Silk Scarf

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of 'Oriental Azure Aria', a silk scarf that encapsulates the essence of Eastern artistry. Inspired by the venerable Chinese craft of Dian Cui, this scarf weaves a tapestry of traditional elegance and contemporary flair. The art of Dian Cui, practiced for centuries, involves the delicate ornamentation of objects with vibrant feathers, a technique that has adorned everything from hair accessories to fine jewelry.

Our scarf brings this ancient aesthetic into the modern realm, showcasing the graceful interplay of phoenixes and butterflies against a backdrop of regal peonies. The art of Dian Cui is carefully crafted to balance movement and serenity, allowing the shimmering azure feathers and glistening beads to catch every breeze. As a Chinoiserie-style accessory, the Dian Cui-themed scarf transcends mere fashion, becoming a tangible expression of cultural richness and artistic refinement.

  • 106cm x 106cm

With its luxurious 100% silk twill fabric measuring 106cm x 106cm, our scarf offers a plethora of styling possibilities while maintaining an air of sophistication. Its oversized square design allows for creative versatility, whether draped around the neck, styled as a chic headscarf, or even displayed as a wall hanging. The expansive size ensures maximum coverage and the freedom to experiment with various folds and knots, making it an essential piece for any fashion-forward individual seeking both practicality and panache.

  • 100% Silk Twill Fabric

This scarf boasts an 18mm Silk Twill fabric that offers a firm yet pliable texture. The distinct diagonal weave not only contributes to its structural resilience against wrinkles but also imbues the fabric with a supple elasticity, ensuring it maintains its shape while being comfortable to wear. This refined tactile experience is complemented by the inherent sheen of the silk, which exudes an effortless elegance and softness. By utilizing a higher momme weight in the twill weave, the silk naturally absorbs dye, resulting in a more subdued and gentle luster that enhances its sophisticated allure.

  • Screen Printing

Crafted with the utmost care, our 'Oriental Azure Aria' silk scarf features meticulous screen printing, a testament to the artisan's hand. The original artwork is faithfully reproduced on the silk, with over ten layers of color applied one atop the other, ensuring a depth and richness that catches the eye. Each layer is printed with precision, allowing for finely detailed lines that seamlessly intertwine, creating an almost painterly effect on the luxurious fabric. This labor-intensive process highlights the skilled craftsmanship at the heart of our dian cui-inspired creation. The artisans' hands—true masters of their trade—bring each design to life with a delicacy that machines cannot replicate.

The result is a tactile and visual feast for the senses: a wearable work of art that celebrates the beauty of traditional craftsmanship in a modern context. Our commitment to this ancient technique ensures that no two pieces are exactly alike, adding to the unique charm and character of each scarf. With every fold and every drape, the story of the artisan's touch unfolds, connecting you to a heritage of unparalleled elegance and cultural significance.

  • Hand-rolled Edges

The final touch of luxury in our ‘Oriental Azure Aria’ scarf is the meticulous hand-rolled edges, a detail that speaks volumes about the craftsmanship behind it. With a commitment to excellence, the scarf's edges are sewn with a dense stitch count, ensuring that every two centi-meters hold no fewer than five stitches. This attention to detail means that one scarf requires over 1060 individual stitches, all carefully executed by hand. This labor-intensive finishing technique not only serves a practical purpose, preventing fraying and enhancing the overall durability of the scarf, but it also represents a symbol of nobility and a profound respect for the artisans whose skills bring such a piece to life. Each stitch is a testament to the time-honored tradition of craftsmanship, a legacy that honors the hands and the hearts of those who create beauty through their labor.

Drape our silk scarf around your shoulders and feel the soft embrace of the hand-rolled edges—each one a silent tribute to the dedication and artistry of our skilled makers. As you wear this exquisite piece, you carry with you not just an accessory, but a story woven from the threads of heritage and the hands of true masters.

This is more than a scarf; it's a wearable masterpiece that celebrates the enduring legacy of Dian Cui, symbolizing prosperity, beauty, and good fortune. Embrace the allure of this unique cultural gem, a true testament to the harmonious blend of tradition and modern style.

Both silk and wool are luxurious and delicate fibres that requires special care to maintain its beauty and longevity. To ensure your scarves and shawls stay in excellent condition, please follow these instructions.

Care and Maintenance Guide

Hand wash or dry clean only

Scarves made of silk and wool should never be machine washed or dried as the heat, moisture, and friction can cause the fabric to shrink, fade, and lose its luster. If you must wash your scarf at home, use a mild detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics and hand wash it gently in cold water. Avoid twisting or wringing the fabric, and instead, gently squeeze out excess water. Natural materials have lower colorfastness than chemical fibers, so soaking washing is not recommended.

Avoid harsh chemicals

Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, or any other harsh chemicals on your silk/wool scarf as they can damage the fabric and cause discoloration. If you need to remove stains or spots, spot-test a small, inconspicuous area first before applying any cleaning solution.

Hang to dry

After washing, hang your silk/wool scarf to air dry instead of using a dryer. Heat and moisture from the dryer can damage the fabric, so avoid this at all costs. If you need to speed up the drying process, you can place the scarf on a flat surface and prop it up with wooden hangers to allow air to circulate around it. Slight fading may occur during washing, but it does not affect the luster or the original color of the scarf.

Iron with care

If you need to iron your silk/wool scarf, do so on low heat with a cool iron and a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric. Use gentle pressure and move the iron in a back-and-forth motion to avoid scorching or damaging the fabric. Avoid direct contact between the iron and the fabric at all times.

Store properly

When not in use, store your silk/wool scarf in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Fold it neatly and wrap it in acid-free tissue paper or a breathable garment bag to prevent dust and moths from settling on the fabric. Avoid storing silk/wool scarf in plastic bags or containers as they can trap moisture and cause mildew.

By following these simple guidelines, you can keep your silk/wool scarf looking beautiful and feeling luxurious for years to come.
